Refrigerant grade CO2 (R744) can be used as a refrigerant and is becoming increasingly popular due to its excellent properties and low global warming potential. CO2 can be used alongside other primary refrigerants such as hydrocarbons and ammonia. Refrigeration systems that contain CO2 require strict controls on moisture, oil and other contaminants. Vapour cylinders are available for initial pressurisation of systems.

- All A-Gas Refrigerant cylinders are subject to rental charges. Cash customers will be requested to pay a deposit equivalent to the lost cylinder charge at time of purchase
- At A-Gas we have invested in specialist cylinder valves with residual pressure devices to prevent contamination of the cylinder, enabling us to provide a refrigerant grade CO2 that has a moisture content of less than 10 parts per millions (industrial grade CO2 does not meet this requirement)
